An original manuscript document in French dated at Quebec, June 3, 1833, comprising a very detailed "Inventaire des Biens" (Inventory of Property) owned by the Seigneur of Beauport (Antoine-Narcisse Juchereau Duchesnay) and his late wife, Sophie Guerot. Written on laid paper with watermarked date of 1829 (20 pages with writing on 18 pages). Marked "Vraie copie" (True copy) with the original signatures of the famous notaries William de Lery and Philippe Panet (two of each signature at beginning and end). Three pronounced horizontal folds with several edge splits and some wear and tear on the final page (back cover). Very interesting contents comprising detailed listings, with values in Pounds (£), of the numerous artifacts contained in the many rooms and buildings of the Seignory of Beauport. This information provides and interesting insight into the life of a Quebec Seigneur of the early 19th century and, as such, woudl be of value to historians and social scientists interested in the daily life of Quebec nobility at the time.
