A lot of 10 or so early Curling medals, as follows: (1) 38mm round medal in white bronze by Pinches London, Rev: early outdoor curler on winter pond, Obv; wreath around circumference, open at top, engraved at center: "McEWAN / YOUNGER / 1972"; (2) 30mm, 10.5 gram round medal in Sterling Silver by Birks, Rev: high-relief curler in action, facing left (no text), Obv: engraved "PAT LID / 1935 / F M c L", though vertical pin-on clasp has been attached; (3) 34x34mm, 9.8 gram fancy medalet in Sterling with outdoor curler against white and blue enameled ice/sky, Obv: blank, other than sharp 1965 Edinburgh date-mark at bottom of Robert James Napier; (4) 27x35mm, 8.6 gram fancy medalet in Sterling Silver by Dingwall, "H. Adams" engraved in script at center on front, back engraved: "Y.W.L. / 3 YEARS", Dingwall/Sterling punch at bottom (note: although part of this Curling group, it is possible that this particular piece is unrelated to the sport); (5) 1906 Silver medal of the Ontario Curling Association, 38x25mm, 8.5 grams in tested .900 Silver, Rev: crossed sculpted Curling Brooms and Rock, "1906" engraved at bottom, Obv: engraved, "O.C.A. / GROUP No. 1 / Won By / TORONTO GRANITES"; (6) an early 45x32mm Silver medal, with pair of sculpted brooms and rock applied to ornate wreath, small Beaver at top with suspension ring attached, back blank; (7) Glasgow, Scotland - 21x25mm, 9 gram medal in hallmarked Sterling silver, raised Glasgow crest on front, "GLASGOW PROVINCE" above, "1909" engraved below; back blank, other than Glasgow 1908 date-mark; small silver suspension bar at top of frayed blue ribbon, engraved "R.C.C.C.". Together with 3 or other piece in bronze, as well as a 1981 London Ontario Trade Dollar, marking the Air Canada Silver Broom tournament. (Lot of 10 medals, including 1.37 oz of Net Silver content)
