1) Elymais, 110AD ca., One Drachma. Diademed Bust. Striped Lines. (Kamnaskires-Orodes II, 110-120 AD). Obv: Bearded facing bust of Kamnaskires- Orodes II (ca. 110-120 AD), wearing diadem and hair tuft on top, side hairs curving upward; to right, pellet-in-crescent above anchor with one crossbar on top. To the right, Tripod or Anchor (?). Rev: Striped lines in linear pattern. Minted Seleucia-on-the-Hedyphon (Ja Nishin). Elymais or Elamais was a semi-independent
state from 2nd c.BC to 3rd c.AD at the head of the Persian Gulf, in then Susiana, previously Elam, today Khuzestan, Iran. King Kamnaskires-Orodes II ruled Elymais from 110 to 120 AD (110-120 AD ca.) 3.1g 18 mm.
2) Elymais, 85AD ca., One Drachma. Diademed Bust, Loop Knot, (Phraates III, ca. 85-90 AD). Obv: Diademed Bust. Phraates III. (ca. 85-90AD). To the right, Tripod or Anchor. Most coins show an anchor, perhaps recalling the Seleucid Empire, or the ancient star-in-crescent symbol of the Achaemenids. Rev: Loop. (String Knot). Minted at Seleucia-on-the-Hedyphon (JaNishin). Phraates III of Elymais ruled from 85 to 590AD (85-90 AD ca.) Bronze 2.7g 18 mm.
3) Elymais, 190AD ca., One Drachma, Diademed Bust. Archer, (Fifth Uncertain King, ca. 190-200 AD). Obv: Diademed Bust. Fifth Uncertain King, ca.190-200. Rev: Two four-part Rectangular Grids, with line. Archer(?) Anchor (?) Minted at Seleucia-on-the-Hedyphon (JaNishin). The Fifth Uncertain King of Elymais ruled from ca. 190 to 200AD. (190-200AD ca.) 1.9g 18 mm.
4) Elymais, 50AD ca. One Drachma. Diademed Bust with Anchor, (Orodes II, ca. 50-70 AD). Obv: Diademed Bust. Orodes II, 50-70 AD. To the right, Tripod or Anchor (?) Most coins show an anchor, perhaps recalling the Seleucid Empire, or the ancient star-in-crescent symbol of the Achaemenids. Rev: Bust, surrounded by points, or denticles. Minted at Seleucia-on-the-Hedyphon (Ja Nishin). Orodes II ruled from ca. 50 to 70AD. (50-70AD ca.) 3.8g 18 mm
