A 72mm, 162.2g antiqued bronze medal by C. Lamond, issued to commeorate the 1987 125th anniversary of the Antiquarian & Numismatic Society of Montreal. Reverse depicts arms of Claude de Ramezay, an important figure in the early history of New France (and governor of Montreal). Interestingly, medal depicts and error in the spelling of the date 1862 in Roman Numerals, which we understand was discontinued and replaced after only a small number of medals were sold. A nice medal, in original red plush Lamond case
