A most impressive Order of the International Fellowship of Knights of Philately, awarded in October of 1969 to Etienne Vertriest of Knokke, Belgium. Order consists of an 18x21mm antiqued metal Penny Black stamp, mounted at center of a 5-pointed 70mm pebbled bronze star, red-enameled branch on each point; on suspension ring, with ornate 42cm dark crimson woven neck ribbon. Smooth blank medal back, other than "FIBRU / BRUSSELS" impressed at bottom. Mounted in a huge 34x49cm hinged blue presentation case, with equally-large recipient's declaration document and multi-lingual investiture booklet, etc. Certainly the most impressive philatelic order we've seen.
