A nice 10x10cm sterling Silver dish, somewhat scalloped (possibly for use as an ashtray), with a 1797 One Penny copper "Cartwheel" embedded in base (visible from both sides). With clear Birmingham date-mark of 1897 inside near upper rim, and makers' mark of Horton & Allday. With gross weight of 91.4 grams (estimated net ASW of 1.88 oz).
