Halperin Jeweler, a 29mm aluminum Coronation medallion, 1953, Rev: right-facing portrait of Elizabeth II, text around rims: "ELIZABETH THE SECOND 1953", Obv; "E II R" over large Maple Leaf at top, text around rim to left and right: "CORONATION 1953", further text at bottom: "L. HALPERIN / JEWELLER", holed at top (location unknown); (2) D.R. Dingwall Ltd., a 38mm copper medal, Obv: Winnipeg Auditorium at center, text below: "OFFICIAL OPENING / OCT. 15 1932", tiny "Dingwall" makers-mark at very bottom, Rev: "D.R. DINGWALL LTD." around top rim, multi-story office building at center, text above: "JEWELLERY CRAFTSMEN", at bottom: "WINNIPEG / SINCE 1882". Only the second such example we've handled from this respected early Winnipeg firm. (lot of 2 medals)
