A lot of three medal groups representing two generations of the same family, as follows: (1) 1939-45 War Medal in Silver, with ribbon and additional 2-medal suspension bar, in box of issue; "Best Marksman" medallion in Sterling Silver by Angus McFee of Belleville, Ontario, 32x35mm, antiqued, engraved on front: "BEST / MARSMAN / 1934-35", blank back except for "J.BRYANT" impressed at top, and McFee Sterling mark at bottom; Silver Memorial Cross, back impressed: "SGT / W.O.A.G. / J.R. BRYANT / R67217" with Lackie Sterling mark at bottom, on original purple ribbon; 33mm pressed aluminum "lucky medallion", pressed raised lettering around rims: "JR BRYANT R67217 RCAF BELLELLEV". A native of Belleville, Ontario, Flight Sergeant James Royal Bryant was just 22 years of age when we he and his crew were lost in a February 21, 1944 flying accident during a night operational training flight out of 31 Operational Training Unit in Debert, Nova Scotia. (2) Member of the Order of Military Merit (edge-numbered at bottom "463"), court-mounted together with a 1977 Silver Jubilee Medal and Canadian Forces Decoration (with 2 bars, one of which has detached), the latter edge-impressed: "CPL. L.G. HANSEN". Captain (then Corporal) Louis Gerald Hansen spent served 35 years in the Canadian Forces as an Aerospace Engineering and Field Aviation Officer, receiving his MMM in June of 1978. (3) Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal (CPSM), court-mounted together with a UN Forces in Cyprus Medal (UNFICYP) and a Canadian Forces Decoration with bar, edge-impressed: "CAPT RJ HANSEN". Latter group also includes a 34mm Challenge Coin of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (engraved #3262), as well as a Princess Pat's Officer's Cap Badge in Sterling Silver by William Scully. An excellent family grouping of service medals, Louis Hansen and RJ ("Bob") Hansen being father and son, while Flight Sergeant Bryant was the younger Hansen's uncle (specifically, his mother's younger brother). (Lot of 12 medals/items).
