France, Louis XV (1715-1774) - a 1720-S [Reims Mint] Half Sol issued under the authority of Scotsman John Law. This denomination from Reims for this year are common and many were later shipped to colonial New France. A Very Fine example that is flatly struck at the obverse's center.
