A 1909 French Ten Centimes, neatly-holed at left and right, engraved on Obv: H. PEGG. / METH / 189863 / 18TH BN / CANADIANS". A good luck piece or possibly substitute dog tag for Harry Pegg, born in Blenheim, Ontario who enlisted with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in January of 1916. Tragically, his younger brother Peter Pegg, with whom it appears he enlisted (service #189868), die of injuries while a prisoner-of-war in November of 1917. A most interesting piece.
