An interesting pair of partial spools of fine braided Silver wire, two different gauges, formerly of the workshop that prepared ceremonial swords for the Canadian Armed Forces, c.1950's to early 1960's. Length of material unknown, though with gross weight of 340 grams (Note: XRF analysis reveals a fairly low Silver content). The consignor indicates this quality of material is no longer made/engaged. An interesting item for the military enthusiast or restorer of formal bladed weapons.
