Poland, 1994 commemorative antiqued bronze medal. This metal commemorates the opening of the new Polish Mint headquarters. Obv: Image of the historic first Polish Mint building. Under the image of the building reads: “ul. BIELAŃSKA” (the street location where the first mint building stood in Warsaw) and “1766-1868” (the years in which the mint was in operation) on two lines. Artists signature appears at the 4 o’clock position. Rev: Image of the new Polish Mint building headquarters with the inscription “UL ŻELAZNA” (street location of the modern mint headquarters) and “1994” on two lines. Artist’s initials appear at the 4 o’clock position. Edge: Plain. Metal’s obverse and reverse both display UNC details and are nice with smooth, clean, and undisturbed fields. Absolutely no wear or handling is seen anywhere on the item’s surface which makes it a unique addition to any collection especially one which focuses on European and or Polish numismatics. Bronze, 39mm, 27g.
