A 35x23mm oval ID bracelet plate (excluding chain) in Birks 10K Gold, with crowned crest believed to be from the short-lived Royal Canadian Naval College (formally, "Royal Naval College of Canada"). The college, which operated from 1911 to 1922, trained 150 students during its existence, originally founded on the Halifax HMC Dockyard, although later moved to Kingston and finally Esquimalt, after the original 1863 building was heavily-damaged in the 1917 Hallifax explosion. Front: Applied gold crest, Crown at top, "R.C.N.C." below within a tiny strip of blue enamel, body of shield comprised of four quadrants depicting [from top left, moving clockwise] a Maple Leaf, Sword, Anchor and Book. Back: engraved at center, "J.W. FULFORD", impressed "BIRKS / 10K" at bottom. Total length of 21cm with chain, and weight of 12.5 grams. An interesting piece of Canadian Naval memorabilia, and if correctly attributed, likely quite rare. (Note: .1674 oz actual gold weight)
