A diverse group of 8 honors/medals, awarded to the celebrated late Canadian home-builder Ernest Assaly, founder of the Ontario New Home Warranty Program, as well as honorary Consul for Kuwait before an Ambassador was sent to Canada. Lot consists of: (1) 1977 Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal, mounted with ribbon and pin; (2) a pair of Canada 1992 125th Anniversary of Confederation Medas, both with ribbons; (3) Lebanon National Order of the Cedar, Knights's Medal, in multi-colored enamel with ribbon (awarded by the Lebanese Ambassador to Canada in 1998); (4) Lebannon National Order of the Cedar, Officer's Medal with ribbon, housed in official case by Huguenin; (5) an unidentifed order consisting of blue Maltese Cross within ornate gold frame, crown clasp above with white and blue striped ribbon, 5 greek letters in gold within blue enamel of reverse, housed in Arthus Bertrand box; (6) Order of St. John of Jersusalem, Knight's collar ribbon and medal in white enamel, in red Cravanola Luce Gardino Case of the Order (tiny ring holding medal to ribbon in need of repair); (7) Order of Saint Ignatius of Anioch Medal in red enamelling with red neck-ribbon, housed in red Johnson Roma/Milano Case. The son of Lebanese immigrants, Ernest Assaly become instrumental in the founding of Canada-Lebanon Day, and was also recognized by Queen Elizabeth for his contributions to the construction industry.
