A 39mm, 1 oz .999 Silver Medallion, seemingly struck to commemorate the opening of the 2000th Tim Hortons location opening in the year 2000. Rev: exterior of Tim Hortons building at center, "TIM HORTONS" above, text around lower rim: "2000 - Ottawa Canada - 2000". Obv: side-by-side portraits of Tim Horton and Ron Joyce center, names below, "Tim Hortons" above, weight and fineness at left and right rims. Struck to a Proof finish, encapsulated and in original plush blue box. Interestingly, the 2,000th branch is reported to have been opened in Toronto, leaving the Ottawa connection (and date?) somewhat unclear. (this lot is HST-exempt within Canada)
