A 53mm, 91.5 gram 12-sided Henry Girdlestone Acres medal in Sterling Silver, awarded by the University of Toronto Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering to Richard J. Bonnycastle in 1962. Rev: interior view of turbine(?) at center, text around rims; Obv: tall waterfall cascading into body of water below (possibly representing hydro-electric technology), inset text around upper rim: "UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO". An intriguing medal design, housed in original green case of issue, and the first example of this award medal we have seen or handled. (2.72 oz ASW)
