An interesting pair of early 20th century stick-pins, consisting of: A Canadian Five Cents Silver of Edward VII with 3-dimensional sculpted portrait of the King "bursting" out of obverse; with small bar attached to back, impressed "PAT. NOV. 22 1904", the coin lightly-gilded and affixed atop a stick-pin. Offered together with a 10mm "California Gold" piece with date of 1849 below native American in full head-dress on reverse, Obv: encircled "California Gold" around center, linked ring around outer circumference (note: very center of obverse is obscured by stick-pin mount). Although seemingly a later fantasy, stick-pin appears quite early and likely dates from the first decade or so of the 20th century. Lot of two items, housed together in an early rectangular blue hinged box from Henry Birks & Sons.
