A fascinating archive consisting of more than 200 typed pages of minutes from the Quebec Senior Hockey League (with typed "Ottawa Senators Amateur Hockey Club Inc." printed on the folder's cover label), including signed reports from the AGM's of the period, etc. With extensive detail on the operations of hockey development in central Canada during the period, and a most interesting observation of how the league adapted during the war years in terms of manpower and involment/support of the war effort. Notes from the May 8th, 1942 annual general meeting held at the Windsor Hotel in Montreal, offer perhaps the first written reference to a new trophy being offered to the league by Lady Byng of Vimy, which would of course become the celebrated "Byng Trophy". Those who know the history of Canadian hockey far better than us will no doubt recognize the names of numerous hockey luminaries among the hundreds of pages contained within the covers of this black folder. A unique opportunity for any enthuisiast and/or researcher of the sport.
